Sumangali Scheme is a combination of Child Labour, Forced Labour and Bonded Labour. It is a modern form of bonded labour, which restricts individual workers’ freedom to move, to choose workplace and actively exposes workers to exploitation without any limit or protection. The project aims to eradicate the extremely exploitative working conditions in the textile Industries of South India (The project  is implemented by Care Trust in collaboration with 7 other local NGOs and is active in 12 blocks of Tamil Nadu)
